If you just installed a new rom or have a new phone and don’t have a backup of your apps, this list should be helpful. Click on an app link and you will be taken straight to the market. If I left a worthwhile app off the list, let me know.

Adobe Flash Player – Free – Play flash on the web.

Adobe Reader  Free – Read your PDFs.

Adobe Air – Free – Not sure if i run any web apps with adobe air. I just think it doesn’t hurt to have.

Amazon MP3 – Free – One of the best apps hand down. Stream your music anywhere you have a decent signal or wi-fi.

Amazon.com – Free – Search and buy things on the go.

Amazon Kindle – Free – Read your kindle books on the go.

AndFTP – Free – Simple FTP program. Pro version allows for folder synchronization.

Astro File Manager – Free (ad-supported) – Tons of features. Unzipping files and locating them on sdcard are what I like.

Audible – Free – Download and play your audio books on the go.

Audio ManagerFree – Set the volume for various types of alerts and notifications.

Barcode Scanner – Free – Scan barcodes and look up prices and reviews.

Beautiful Widgets –  $2.87 – Nice widget with the weather and time on your homescreen.

Bluetooth File TransferFree – Transfer files between phones using bluetooth.

Catlog Logcat Reader – Free – See what is going on under the hood so to say.

ClockSync – Free – Keeps your clock synced with official NTP servers.

Craigslist Notification – Free – Awesome app for craigslist. Tell it what you are looking for and the price range. It sends alerts whenever an item meeting your specs is posted.

Google Docs – Free – Create, edit, upload and share your documents with the Google Docs app.

Documents to Go – View Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint Files

Dolphin Browser HD – Free – A better browser. Tabs and add-ons make it a winner.

DropboxFree – Put files from your PC into your dropbox on the web. Get them on your phone. Or vice versa.

Google Earth – Free – See sattelite views of the earth on your phone.

Facebook – Free – Obvious. It’s facebook.

Gmail – Free – Check your gmail the second you get an e-mail.

gReaderfree or $5.87 for pro – Pretty nice rss reader. Syncs up with your google reader account.

IMDB – Free – Find movie showtimes, get TV listings, watch trailers and search all of IMDb.

Ringdroid – Free – Create your own ringtone, alarm, or notification sound from an existing audio file, or record a new one directly on the device.

ROM Manager – Must have app for any root user. Make backups, flash ROMs, and own your device.

ScoreMobile – Free – Stay up to date with the latest scores.

SetCPU$1.99 – Overclock or underclock your processor in your phone to your liking

Shopper – Free – Find products and get prices with this app

Soundhound Free – Play a song. It listens. It tells you what song it is.

Spark360$1.50 – Check and send messages on your xbox live account.

Speed Test – Free – Check your connection speed.

Stopwatch & Timer – Free – Time stuff

Tasker$6.49 – Automate all sorts of things on your phone. (Kind of complicated to set up)

Titanium BackupFree – Best backup app. ROOT Required

TuneIn Radio  Free – Listen to local radio from anywhere in the world. Not all stations available but I was impressed with the number of stations.

Twitter – Free – Obvious one. Twitter

Google Voice – Free – Get your voicemails transcribed and sent via text. Also can check voicemails on the web.

Walgreens – Free – Fill prescription refills by scanning barcode.

Watchdog – Free – Make sure an app doesn’t hog too much memory with this app keeping an eye on them all.

Weatherbug – Free – Know what the weather is

WebMD – Free – Know what you are sick with

Wapedia – Free – Wikipedia at your fingertips

WordPress – Free – Blog on the go

XiialiveFree or $4.99 – Stream shoutcast stations

Youtube – Free – Obvious one. Youtube

Battery Monitor Widget – Another app to monitor your battery usage.

Battery Calibration – After rooting your phone, you may need to calibrate your battery. Use this.

Cam Scanner – Scan documents with the camera on your phone.

Chainfire3D – Make your graphics better.

Dictionary.com – Find out what that word means.

ESPN Radio – Listen to ESPN podcasts and radio.

Movie Finder – Find movies near you.

Opera Browser Mini – Another browser alternative. I used this on my blackberry pearl long ago. It’s quick and gets the job done. No flash tho.
